DoT and BSNL Collaborate to Host Successful Blood Donation Drive
In a heartwarming display of solidarity and community involvement, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and BSNL, in partnership with the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu, orchestrated a remarkable blood donation campaign. This benevolent event took place at the prestigious HUDCO Bhawan within the Railhead Complex of Trikuta Nagar.
The initiative garnered enthusiastic participation from a diverse array of 35 donors hailing from DoT, BSNL, J&K Bank, the Department of Transport, as well as prominent telecommunication companies such as Reliance Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone. Notably, this event was graced by the presence of esteemed figures in both DoT and BSNL hierarchies, with luminaries including Sanjeev Tyagi, Chief General Manager of J&K Circle at BSNL, and VK Surendra, Additional Director General of Telecom at the J&K Licensed Service Area.
During the occasion, Sanjeev Tyagi passionately championed the continuation of such philanthropic endeavors in the future. He emphasized how these efforts serve as a valuable complement to the Healthcare Department's tireless work in providing essential patient care and medical services. Tyagi's appeal resonated widely, as he urged all stakeholders to step up during these critical times and contribute to the upliftment of society on a grand scale.
Expressing admiration for the selfless donors, Tyagi highlighted the twofold impact of blood donation. He underscored that this act not only saves the lives of those in need but also bestows health benefits upon the donors themselves. Remarkably, blood regenerates swiftly within the body, reinforcing the notion that acts of kindness can seamlessly intertwine with personal well-being.
This successful blood donation drive orchestrated by the collaborative efforts of DoT, BSNL, and various corporate entities stands as a testament to the power of unity and shared responsibility. As these remarkable initiatives continue to flourish, the potential to create a healthier and more compassionate society grows exponentially.
